Charles Betts Galloway : ウィキペディア英語版 | Charles Betts Galloway Charles Betts Galloway (1 September 1849 – 12 May 1909) was an American Bishop of the Methodist Episcopal Church, South, elected in 1886. He was born in Kosciusko, Mississippi. Bishop Galloway's great uncle was the Rev. Charles Betts of the North Carolina Conference of the M.E. Church. Bishop Galloway's conversion to the Christian faith occurred in 1867 while he was a student at the University of Mississippi. Also while at the university, he was a member of the fraternity St. Anthony Hall.() He was admitted to the Mississippi Annual Conference of the M.E. Church, South in 1868. He served as editor of the New Orleans Christian Advocate from 1882 to 1886. Hendrix College in Conway, Arkansas honored Galloway by naming a women's dormitory in his honor when Galloway Women's College merged with Hendrix in 1933. == References ==
